Last night I had the most wonderful dream: I had finished The Legacy! All had to do was find someone to edit and publish it.
And then I woke up and remembered I was not in fact on the verge of finishing my book, but in reality was only on chapter three...
It was depressing.
But it made me think: how many times does that happen to us? Not specifically the whole yes-I've-finally-finished-my-novel thing but rather the part where we dream and dream and expect our dreams to be telling us the truth when in fact our dreams are farther off then we think (I don't say impossible because "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me").
And then God reminded me: "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
So maybe I'm still on chapter three and writing at a pace that will help me get published sometime in my twenties, but maybe - just maybe - God knows what he's doing with my life and I'll get to have that yes-I've-finally-finished-my-novel party just at the right time. His time.
Now (because you know I just have to) it's time for the whole readers-participation-of-the-day thing: What is your dream that seems impossible right now? How do you see God working on it?
Happy Wednesday guys (err gals) :)

But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”

Fight Another Day
I was wondering around the 'net today looking for music and found myself on the Addison Road site (Addison Road is an awesome band I saw in concert last October. Check out my post about it). I was looking for a list of all their songs and found a link to Jenny's Blog. I read her most recent entry and felt like "Wow I just need to share this."
Hope is not lost, fight another day.

Music Timeeeeee ^_^
Okay, slightly retarded title but other then that.. What's up?
This is gonna be a pretty short post 'cause I've got a class in a few minutes but I just want to share this song with my dedicated followers (all two of 'em..):
(go here)
The song is called Pure and it's by (an awesome band) Superchick. This song is like one of my favorite songs by them and I was wondering ('cause now I'm into the whole readers-interacting thing) what's your favorite song? Favorite band? Favorite song by favorite band?
For me it's as follows:
The Only Exception by Paramore
Flyleaf
The Kind by Flyleaf

Help! I'm Dying Of Boredom...
Geometry. The bane of my existence.
Okay so it's not really that bad but it's soooo boring.
And so to avoid death by math I was wondering: Which subject in school is the bane of your existence? Or if you're out of school(good for you..) what did it used to be?
Now, because I don't feel like leaving this post on such a depressing subject as school: What makes you happiest? What is the joy of your existence?
I'm so grateful for everything God has given me I know I couldn't pick just one thing. He's given me the best family and friends and of course his son. I see his love in everything (even, maybe - just maybe - boring geometry. He loved me enough to give me the intelligence to understand it, didn't he?).
So now, a little less bored and a little more happy, I guess I'll sign-off. Hope everyone has a great day today!

Psalm 42:11(NIV)
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow :)
If ever I doubted God answers prayers now I know he does.
Ever since I moved to South Carolina I have prayed fervently that it would snow and I could experience a real winter (sorry to all you southerners out there but you know it's true, winters down here are kind of lame..). So anyway Friday night my prayers were answered. It snowed. In Charleston. It's obviously the end of the world...
Lol check this out:

I love snow :)

A New Year, A New Look, And A New Trick Up My Sleeve
Okay so I know that it's like Febuary now, and half the population is probably sick and tired of their New Year's resolution, but I want to know: What was your resolution? Have you stuck to it thus far?
A lot of people every year resolve to change their outside apparence but I've decided to do something completely different and unique. This year I chose "to be me, to be only me, and and to be the best me I can be". So hard I know.
Actually it's amazing what being yourself (and, obviously, not someone else) can do for your self esteem and outlook on life.
Jumping into the present, how many of you are excited about Valentine's Day? I know I am. While I see Christmas as the day God gave us to show his love for us, I think Valentine's Day should be the day that we share his love with one another. Example: earlier today my brothers and I went on a field trip (type..thing..) to The Village - a retirement home near where I live. We went there to help some of the residents make Valentines for their room. It was actually really fun. It kind of made me feel like an ambassador for God even though we weren't necesarily there teach about his love, showing it was enough. It was a great feeling.
One more thing I want to add before I "sign off", I realize most of you other single people out there may not be as ecstatic about Valentine's Day as I am so I've got a little song for you...

Of Bribes and Chocolate
This is a response post to a bribe from one of my *favorite* authors, Laini Taylor. (for more info on participating in this bribe click here)
So what is this bribe all about, you ask? Chocolate. (And tat's but mostly chocolate...)
All I have to do is post this uhh... post about Laini and her books and her bribe and I get a free (temporary) tattoo (I'm so hard-core).
So, books:

This one is Blackbringer (obviously), the one I own. If you're looking for good book with fairies, fire (yes random but I like fire...), and some kick-butt awesome magic and fighting and chocolate... well it's a really good book and if you like fairies you should definitely read Blackbringer (and, might I add, if you don't like fairies what are you doing here again? Fairies like me and show up a lot...)

Silksinger. I haven't gotten the chance to read this one yet (I'm broke, as usual :p) but I'm sure this one will be just as good as the first one (if not better).
Tat's:

Not chocolate but so so awesome! ;)
And chocolate (stares longingly...):

Chocolate... my and the fairies favorite (thing ever)
Well I've done my part now hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt... lol :)
